We are honored to host local artist Jim Olarte for a screening of the new short film The Man Who Knots the Sea. Discover how Jim’s practice is fueled by the tide, transforming found materials and fibers into intricate nods to the Pacific.

Following the short, we’ll shift gears to the origins of the industry with a featured film on Hobie—the iconic brand that revolutionized surfing and shaped the culture we know today. After the film, hear from Jeff Alter, Kris Carlow and Gary Larson on a panel moderated by Pat Parnell.
