Drive Thru South America

Drive Thru South America is an action-packed 2004 surf reality documentary directed by Taylor Steele. It follows five top professional surfers—Shane Dorian, Donavon Frankenreiter, Benji Weatherly, Ozzie Wright, and Kalani Robb—on an adventurous, two-week road trip through Panama, Brazil, and Chile. 

The film captures the surfers as they pack into a bus and travel along coastlines in search of the best waves and off-the-board thrills. Highlights of the trip include hang gliding in Brazil, off-roading with quads and tow-surfing in chilly Chilean waters, and exploring heavy beach breaks in Panama. Along the way, the crew embraces local culture, plays live music, and engages in hilarious, unscripted real-world antics.
