The Save The Waves Film Festival (STWFF) is the world’s only international surf and environmental film festival, hosted by the nonprofit Save The Waves Coalition. Established in 2008, this global film tour and fundraiser features inspiring nonfiction and documentary films on surf and water sports, travel and adventure, conservation, and climate. Each screening aims to educate and inspire audiences to protect surf ecosystems across the globe. The 2025 tour includes films showcasing surf breaks and stories from California, Portugal, Sri Lanka, Mexico, Greenland, the Pacific Northwest, Australia, and South Africa. Beyond showcasing films, STWFF serves as a fundraiser and community event, supporting valuable coastal conservation and environmental efforts.
