Synopisis
Caught follows GoodCatch, an organization in Sri Lanka that recycles discarded fishing nets, turning them into surfboard fins. Filmed largely in Arugam Bay, the documentary highlights the beauty of the place and its people while addressing the pollution problems caused by discarded nets. The film reveals how assigning value to waste can inspire sustainability in developing countries. More than a portrait of innovation, Caught is a hopeful story meant to spark conversation and show how small shifts can lead to global change.
