Jeff Canham Brings Bold, Hand-Painted Design to Coast Film & Music Festival 2025
Official 2025 CFMF poster
We’re proud to share that Jeff Canham, a San Francisco-based designer and artist, is the creative mind behind the official 2025 Coast Film & Music Festival poster.
Jeff’s work is instantly recognizable—colorful, typographic, and deeply rooted in craft. A former art director at Surfer Magazine, Jeff honed his skills in traditional hand-painted signage through an apprenticeship at New Bohemia Sign Painters. Since then, his career has spanned gallery shows, brand collaborations, and nonprofit projects that amplify culture and environmental awareness.
Over the years, Jeff has worked with brands and organizations including Patagonia, The North Face, Levi’s, Mollusk Surf Shop, and Aloha Collection, often bringing his playful yet purposeful style into projects that support outdoor adventure and creative expression.
He currently works out of Woodshop, a collaborative studio and showroom in San Francisco’s Outer Sunset district that he shares with surfboard shaper Danny Hess, furniture maker Luke Bartels, and designer Josh Duthie. Since 2008, the group has built a community of craftsmen inspired by the unique balance of beach-town charm and city energy that defines the neighborhood.
As Jeff explains, “Colour seems to be the first thing people respond to. Before you read the words or process the shapes, colour sets a tone and gives the work a feeling … so it’s a crucial part of my creative process.” That sense of vibrancy and intention comes through in every piece, including the poster he created for Coast 2025.
At Coast, we see Jeff’s art as a perfect reflection of our mission—uniting community, storytelling, and conservation. His 2025 festival poster captures the adventurous and inspiring spirit of Coast Film & Music Festival and sets the tone for what promises to be an unforgettable week in Laguna Beach this November.
