THE MUSICIANS
Ben Harper is one of the premiere songwriters of his generation. He is also one of the most versatile and brave songwriters, fearlessly working in a cross-section of genres, ranging from pop, reggae and soul, to blues, rock, funk and folk. He has recorded 18 studio albums and amassed a worldwide following having sold over 16 million records worldwide and 3 Grammy Awards.
On his eleventh studio album, Transmissions, Lee continues to expand his sonic range while sharpening his closely observed lyrics addressing death, aging, and love. Recorded live with his longtime band in a rural New York studio in less than a week, the album captures the beauty and vulnerability of musicians “all in the room, making music together.” Transmissions is also Lee’s first release of original music on his own label, Hoagiemouth Records, and reflects the gratitude and perspective he’s gained over a career spanning more than two decades.
G. Love & Special Sauce is an American Hip-Hop Blues band known for its unique fusion of hip-hop, blues, funk, and soul. Formed in 1993 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the band originally featured Garrett Dutton, aka G. Love, as the lead vocalist and guitarist, Jeffrey Clemens on drums, and Jim Prescott on bass. The trio quickly gained attention for their laid-back, groovy style and G. Love’s unique vocal delivery, blending rap-like spoken word with bluesy singing.
For nearly two decades Donavon Frankenreiter has been traveling the globe, first as a professional surfer and now as a musician. Born in Southern California, Donavon spent most of his youth chasing waves, turning pro at the age of 16. These days instead of surf competitions, it’s concert halls that bring Frankenreiter to town, where he entertains audiences with his unique blend of laid-back grooves, philosophical lyrics and soulful delivery.
Raised on Maui, Lily Meola blends country, Americana, and hook-driven pop on Heartbreak Rodeo. Recorded in Nashville, the EP turns personal heartbreak into songs of resilience and hope. “Each song I write is like a therapy session for me,” Meola says. “My goal is to help people feel a little less alone.” Rooted in resilience and resolve, Heartbreak Rodeo finds Meola embracing heartbreak as part of the journey—and riding toward a brighter horizon.
