Synopisis

Land to Sea is the story of The Ecology Center, a 28-acre regenerative farm in San Juan Capistrano, California. Founded by surfer Evan Marks from his desire to protect the ocean from toxic land runoff, this once dirt lot has become a tropical oasis. Rooted in indigenous practices, community, and deep stewardship, The Ecology Center is how humans have always been meant to live in harmony with the land.

Production Team

Dana Frankoff is an award-winning Director,  Producer and Writer based in Northern California. She launched her environmental documentary and commercial production company Turning Tides Films in 2019 with her directorial debut,  “Voice Above Water'“ which has won 24 awards, received a Vimeo Staff Pick and continues to play all over the world. She combines her passion for storytelling with her love for the ocean and the environment to tell thought-provoking stories that help change the world. Dana can often be found surfing waves in Bolinas, hiking trails in the hills of Northern California with her dog Uluwatu, on location filming around the world, or at home in Marin working on her films.
