On November 6, Ocean and Mountain Cultures Converge in Laguna Beach to Power the Next Generation of Solutions for a Healthier Planet
Laguna Beach, CA (August 27, 2025) — The third annual Coast Summit, presented by A New Earth Project, will take place on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at the Rivian South Coast Theater in Laguna Beach as a central feature of the Coast Film & Music Festival. Tickets for the Coast Summit are on sale starting today at https://www.coastfilmfestival.com/coast-summit.
Set against the backdrop of one of California’s most iconic coastal communities, Coast Summit ’25 brings together entrepreneurs, conservationists, creators, athletes, and business leaders to explore innovative solutions at the intersection of human and planetary well-being. The one-day program will include interactive panels, live Q&A sessions, exclusive screenings, and a keynote conversation, offering attendees a chance to engage directly with thought leaders and changemakers.
The 2025 theme, “Healthy People, Healthy Planet,” reflects a growing focus on the deep connection between individual wellness and the health of the natural world. Sessions will examine emerging ideas in regenerative food systems, financial well-being, mental health, storytelling, and materials innovation, showcasing practical solutions alongside inspiring narratives.
“We’re back for our third Coast Summit, and it feels more relevant than ever,” said Don Meek, Managing Director of A New Earth Project. “Our theme, Healthy People, Healthy Planet, speaks to the simple but profound truth that human well-being is inseparable from the health of the Earth. This gathering is about exploring that connection — and the choices we can make, together, to create a better future.”
“This isn’t just about storytelling or celebration — it’s about empowerment,” added Ben Warner, Executive Director of the Coast Film & Music Festival. “We want people to walk away with new tools, new allies, and a renewed sense of agency. The Coast Summit brings together distinct cultures — represented by the ocean and the mountains — under a shared commitment to protect what we love and move forward with purpose.”
This year’s program will feature Charles Eisenstein — acclaimed author, speaker, and cultural thinker — whose work explores the intersection of ecology, economy, and spirituality. Known for influential books such as The More Beautiful World Our Hearts Know Is Possible, Eisenstein challenges conventional narratives and offers a vision for systems change grounded in interconnection, healing, and radical empathy.
