Coast Film & Music Festival 2025 presents Love Letter to the Unseen. This film follows youth conservationist Spencer Hitchen of @SaveSunriseGlossies as he investigates the endangered Maugean Skate and the politics threatening its survival. With salmon farming devastating its only Tasmanian habitat, numbers are plummeting—but hope remains. Directed by Josh ‘Bones’ Murphy, the film blends science, art, and First Nations voices to inspire action.”

Equipo no. 3
Coast Film & Music Festival 2025 presents Equipo #3, which offers an intimate portrait of sugarcane workers in Mante, Tamaulipas, México. From pre-dawn rides to long days in the fields, the film captures the grit, ritual, and humanity of labor—meals shared, machetes sharpened, ash falling at sunset—revealing the rhythm and resilience of life in the cañaverales.
Epicenter
Coast Film & Music Festival 2025 presents Epicenter. Go behind the scenes with sculptor Casey Parlette as he builds a large-scale installation celebrating marine wildlife and talks about his inspirations and process. The sculpture “Epicenter” was on display this summer in front of Laguna Beach city hall. Casey lives and works in Laguna Beach.

Cottonwood
Coast Film & Music Festival 2025 presents Cottonwood. A short film that follows founders Elliott Kuhn and Alexys Romo as they recount the origins of Cottonwood Urban Farm, its partnership with Black Thumb Farm, and the impact they've had in their community as part of the greater Los Angeles Area.
Comparsa
Coast Film & Music Festival 2025 presents Comparsa. A film based in Ciudad Peronia, Guatemala, where sisters Lesli and Lupe confront gender violence through art. In response to the killing of 41 girls in a state-run ‘Safe Home,’ they lead a vibrant street performance of puppets, stilt walkers, and drums—transforming grief into healing and exposing systemic abuse.
Cletus
Coast Film & Music Festival 2025 presents Cletus. A short documentary about art, skating, and self-discovery. After moving to rural Florida, a young artist reinvents his style, drawing inspiration from skating and individuality.
